Spring 2018 JavaScript Midterm
The test will cover chapters 1-6. It will be open book/note/web.
There will be 23 questions, all multiple choice.
1- This involves validation, applying a constraint validation, on a forms control. When it is invalid, a [blank] occurs.
2- A [blank] error is a flaw in the program’s design that prevents it from running as anticipated. This is not the error that one would see in the console. Pg. 215
3- This relates to exception handling. What are the three clauses of exception handling? Try, Catch, Finally. Know these for the answer. (Not Throw)
4- What was established in 1994 at MIT to oversee Web technology standards? Pg. 4
5- This is the process of combining to strings. Pgs. 100, 113 Table 2-8
6- This is a type that can have a single value. Pg. 91
7- Know what a falsey value is. Pg. 122-123
8- There are two types of comments. Know them both.
9- Variables, where are they declared? What is the overall scope of variables (global/local.)
10- Describe the main items in the HTML document. (Book uses old term.) Pg. 5
11- This relates to setting a marker in code, to prevent execution. This relates to debugging. Pg. 245-246
12- What method returns a single element? Two begin with get, two with query.
